Biography

Oscar Michelen serves as of-counsel to PARRON LAW, focusing on entertainment litigation and high-stakes commercial disputes. A nationally recognized litigator and legal commentator, he brings decades of courtroom and advisory experience to the firm's clients.

He earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1985, graduating magna cum laude in the top 5% of his class and serving as an editor of the Law Review.

Early in his career, Oscar became Senior Trial Specialist for the City of New York — the youngest attorney and the first Hispanic to reach the position — defending the City in multimillion-dollar litigation across all five boroughs. He later became a partner at Cuomo LLC, a New York litigation boutique specializing in intellectual property, entertainment and commercial matters.

Oscar is an adjunct professor at New York Law School, teaching Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Born in the Dominican Republic and fluent in Spanish, he resides on Long Island, New York.
