Ivan Parron

Ivan Parron® is the founder and managing partner of PARRON LAW®. Over more than 25 years he has worked at the intersection of law, business, intellectual property and emerging technology — advising artists, athletes, celebrities, entrepreneurs, family offices and media companies on transactions, IP strategy, brand monetization and corporate matters.

A former software engineer and technology entrepreneur, Ivan helped pioneer the commercial framework for online music distribution before digital transformation became mainstream. He previously served as in-house counsel for Universal Music Group, managing business and legal affairs across the U.S. Latin market, Spain, Portugal and Latin America, where he negotiated deals involving major artists.

Prior to Universal, he founded and served as CEO of Ritmoteca.com — one of the world's first legal online music download services — which negotiated licensing with more than 60 record labels and partnered with Microsoft, AOL, Nokia, Motorola, Napster and RealNetworks.

Ivan serves on the Board of Directors of the Sports Lawyers Association and is a former Chair of The Florida Bar's Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section. He also teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Sports and Entertainment Law.
